Raw Power 2010

The Doncaster Dome played host to the second Raw Power event following the success of 2009. Promoter and former IFBB Pro Day Audi combined bodybuilding, professional strongman and model search for this event and once again produced a successful event.

The Sports PN Classic is a bodybuilding show which has been run by Dayo for several years, but this year it was just first timers / novice and men's open. The venue is a great for a bodybuilding show; unfortunately the stage lighting could have been better. The standard of competitor in both classes was very high. The first timers' results were:

1st Gavin Shawcroft
2nd Grant Forshaw
3rd Danny Mckenna

First place was a shredded physique: condition you see only in top end competitors; he has a promising future in the competitive scene. However, Grant came a close second: bigger with great proportions and was also in good condition.

The men's open had five competitors and was one by seasoned superheavyweight Rob Reinaldo from Peterborough. Rob is a big guy with heaps of potential. He knows how to get into good condition, if he worked on is proportions and leg separation he truly could go a long way in the sport.

Second place, was a close runner up; I wouldn't have wanted to judge these two: again a big guy in great condition.

1st Rob Reinaldo
2nd Daniel Welburn
3rd David Bowdler

The model search had cash prizes for the top three places, and there was a large turnout of girls looking to become fitness models. The top three were:

1st Stefanie Rycraft-Jones
2nd Jenna Guy
3rd Jorja Harris

The professional strongman was England vs. Poland and featured top pro strongman names. For England Terry Hollands (Team MuscleTalk), Mark Felix and Big Loz Shahlaei competing in six events included the car lift, Atlas stones and tyre press. The result was a clear win of 6-0 to England. Terry, Mark and Loz are all big international names and they all seem to get better each year.
